History
The Mythbusters started in 2003. It was created for Discovery by Peter Rees from Beyond Production. It was originally supposed to be called "Tall Tales or True". Discovery accpeted the pitch and three pilot episodes were made. In the beginning Jamie Hyneman was supposed to be the only host. However, the network added another host named Adam Savage to be a cohost since he has worked with Jamie in the past. Jamie agreed to this, because he thought he wasn't interesting enough to run the show alone.
In the second season a separate team was made apart from the main two hosts. They were called The Build Team. They tested myth seperately and continued to be in the show for 10 years. In 2014 the build team left mythbusters and in 2016 they starred in a Netflix series named "The White Rabbit Project". Only two seasons after they left, the series ended in March 5 2016.
