Mythbusters is a very popular show. It has been known for being unique and being a very fun, lighthearted science show. It is actually the longest running and most popular series in the history of the Discovery Channel. No other show even comes close to it. The President of Discovery channel has even said,"Mythbusters' is — and will always be — an incredibly important part of Discovery's history."

Mythbusters had pretty good reviews throughout the series.Overall they have a rating of 9.3 from IMDB and a 97% from Google Users Their ratings were at their best around 2009. However, after about season 12 the ratings started to drop.Eventually because of the ratings the show was cancelled in 2016. The cast was actually expecting the series to end 3 years before it ended. They were waiting for the network to say they wouldn't be renewed.
