Myths
The Myths are the central point for the entire show. The mythbusters have filmed 9300 hours spanning over 263 episodes and 1015 myths. Every one of their myths are memorable. They test all sorts of myths such from whether you can shoot cheese out of a cannon, to myths about idioms, like if a bull can run in a china shop and if you can find a needle in a haystack. They have three categories for telling how true a myth is. Confirmed, when a myth is very probable and probably has happened, Plausable, When it can possibly happen, but it is very unlikey and Busted, when a myth can never happen and it is impossible. Overall they have busted 548 myths, confirmed 251 myths, and had 216 myths be plausible.
The Mythbusters usually use a methodical approach when tackling myths. Some myths such as driving myths they just go all out and see if the myth is true. Other myths, espicially one's involving explosives, they usually build a small scale rig so they know what too expect when testing it is full scale. In some myths they even use a medium scale. In some special cases if the myth is busted they try to replicate the results and copy what was supposed to happen in the myth. And with almost every myth the tell the audience to not try anything they do at home. Some famous myths and episodes include "seven folds", "prison break", and "christmas myths." Some cool facts are that they've used 83 miles of duct tape, had 900 explosions and destroyed 295 vehicles.
